Hi, I'm Maxwell. I offer tutoring in GCSE English Language and GCSE Combined Science — particularly for students looking to build confidence and make progress — as well as English and Science at KS3 level. I work as an Investment Analyst in Guernsey, where my day-to-day involves performance reporting, quantitative analysis, and communicating complex ideas clearly — skills I've found translate naturally into tutoring. I hold professional investment qualifications gained while working, and previously completed the IB Diploma, which gave me a strong grounding in both English and Science. I'm also currently studying part-time for a BSc in Economics and Mathematical Sciences with the Open University alongside my full-time role, so I understand first-hand what it takes to prepare for exams while juggling a demanding workload. I have a genuine passion for teaching and helping students build confidence in their abilities. I read widely across philosophy and literature, which feeds into a real interest in language and how ideas are expressed, and my quantitative background feeds into my interest in the sciences. My approach is about breaking concepts down clearly, building solid exam technique, and helping students feel confident tackling difficult topics.
